500-kilo bomb found at Germany’s biggest airport
A British WWII bomb has been accidentally found during construction work at Frankfurt Airport.
The airport was closed, the traffic was blocked and huge traffic jams appeared. The runway was also closed down. Only the runway situated far from the place where the bomb had been found was being used for taking off for a while.
A group of miners is working on the spot. No planes will be allowed to land at the airport until the bomb is defused, the airport security service announced. Frankfurt Airport is the biggest airport in Germany.
