Activist detained in Baranavichy after spending 6 months in Ukraine
The police arrested Zmitser Paloika upon his arrival at the railway station and accused him of 'petty hooliganism.'
Local activist Zmitser Paloika who spent 6 months in Ukraine was seized in Baranavichy. It happened right at the railway station. An administrative report for ‘petty hooliganism’ was drawn up. Baranavichy Court has returned him guilty and jailed for 10 days. He is serving the sentence now.
The police are summoning and interrogating Zmitser Paloika’s relatives now, the human rights website Viasna reports. They have been forbidden to leave Baranavichy. It is not clear what the activist did in Ukraine.
