Alyaksandr Mіlіnkevіch meets Polish President Lech Kaczyński
The leader of the United Democratic Forces of Belarus Alyaksandr Mіlіnkevіch has met the Polish President Lech Kaczyński. The Belarusian politician’s press service informed about it. The politicians discussed the role of Poland in the democratization of Belarus.
Mіlіnkevіch insisted that the Polish ambassador should return to our country. Let us remind you that the Polish ambassador to Belarus Tadeush Pavlyak was recalled back after the conflict connected with the Union of Poles in Belarus. He resigned from his post after returning to Belarus on November7, 2005.
There has not been any Polish ambassador to Belarus since then. The idea of Polish help to the repressed opposition activists was also discussed.
According to Kanchinski, Poland will continue organizing programmes to help students excluded from Belarusian universities and people who were fired for supporting democratic changes in Belarus. Poland will do everything possible to help our country join the European Union”.
