Another mobile developer is closing its business in Belarus. The mobile games company Belka Games is liquidating a legal entity in Minsk. The decision was made by the owner in 2023, reports devby.io.
Belka Games is one of the largest mobile game developers with Belarusian roots. Its director, Dzmitry Khusainau, was included in the ej.by rating of the most successful and influential entrepreneurs in Belarus. It is known that in 2021 he and his wife received Montenegrin citizenship.
At the beginning of 2022 the company employed more than 400 people in six offices (including in Minsk). After the start of full-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine, Belka Games announced a gradual withdrawal from the Russian Federation and the relocation of almost the entire Russian team to other countries.
The Belarusian office continued to operate. However, the company imposed a moratorium on hiring employees in the Republic of Belarus. Those who wanted to move were given the opportunity to settle in Poland, Lithuania and Montenegro. Currently Belka Games has offices in six countries - Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, Georgia, Montenegro and Cyprus.
