BelaPAN journalist gives explanations with regard to his article on "Baikova's case"

BelaPAN journalist Viktar Fedarovich was summoned to the General Public Prosecutor's Office to give explanations with regard to his article "KGB Bug Materials of Baikova's Case". The news agency's correspondent was told he had been interrogated as a witness. The reason for such invitation was the KGB's request - they consider it necessary to conduct a check-up on the fact of non-sanctioned disclamation of preliminary investigation's materials.  Viktar Fedarovich is one of the first Belarusian journalists to write about Sviatlana Baikova's case in details. He is convinced the General Public Prosecutor's Office should use all its forces to investigate Baikova's lawyer's complaint, not to interrogate the journalist. The lawyer Mikhail Vouchak only informed the media about the law violation which had not been stopped by the secret services. According to Charter'97, he can become a subject for investigation as well.
