The journalists detained on Tuesday will spend the second night behind bars in Belarus. The media workers from TUT.by, KP.by, and Belapan.by  who had already spent more than 24 hours in a police station after covering a protest will now have to sleep in the pre-trial detention center in Akrestsina street.

The trials of journalists last for the whole day on Wednesday. Kastrycnicki District Court in Minsk sent for revision the cases of all six journalists on trial: Aliaksei Sudnikau and Nadzeya Kalinina from TUT.by, Siarhei Shchaholeu, Mikita Niedavierkau and Maryia Elyashevichc from Komsomolskaya Pravda v Belarusi as well as Andrei Shauliuha from BelaPAN. The cases of Sudnikau and Kalinina were back in court today after revision.

The journalists were detained on September 1 when performing professional duties and covering a street protest by university students. They were charged with taking part in an unauthorized mass event, a routine charge in Belarus. The journalists spent the night at Minsk's Kastrycnicki District Police Department.
