Belarusian opposition suggests European Parliament to consider disappearance cases
Belarusian opposition will suggest the European Parliament to conduct hearings on the case of missing opponents of the authorities, namely, politicians Viktar Hanchar and Jury Zakharanka, a businessman Anatol Krasouski and a journalist Zmitser Zavadzki. Approximately 40 famous politicians and civic activists signed under the corresponding petition, including Henadz Buraukin, Siarhej Zakonnikau, Anatol Viartsinski, Uladzimir Kolas, Jaraslau Ramanchuk, Siarhej Kaliakin, Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu, Andrej Sannikau, Ryhor Kastusyou and others.
As it was informed to BelaPAN by the UCP Chairman Anatol Liabedzka, a representative of the opposition is to pass the petition personally to the EP President Jerzy Buzek and the leaders of main fractions today or tomorrow.
