Borisovdrev ex-CEO’s trial continues today (video)
Uladzimir Maltsau is standing trial in Minsk Province Court.
The ex-director is accused of power abuse during the state enterprise modernization programme. His actions caused a loss of Br18 billion. Maltsau is facing up to 8 years of imprisonment and the confiscation of his property.
The accused pled not guilty and said that he was not personally interested in the result of his actions. Witnesses will be interrogated today.
Maltsau has been jailed since March 2014 and his property costing over Br400 million is arrested.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka visited Borisovdrev on November 8, 2013. He was indignant at the modernization rate. An investigation started. Uladzimir Maltsau spent a few more months in the position of the enterprise CEO.
