Canadians march topless (photo, video)

Several hundred people took part in a topless protest in Waterloo, Canada. They were struggling for the freedom and equality of sexes, the organizers said. The match participants were carrying the posters ‘These are boobs, not bombs’ and ‘Nudity isn’t sexual’, BBC reports.

An incident that occurred last month was the reason for the march. The police stopped three topless sisters who were riding their bicycles. Sisters Tamira, Nadya and Alisha Mohammed explained that it was too hot.

The policemen asked the girls to cover their breasts. However, the legislation of Ontario does not forbid women to be topless so the sisters complained about the policemen’s actions. The latter claimed that they had only checked the girls’ bicycles.
