Central Election Committee sides with BCD candidates
The Central Election Committee has asked Masty District Executive Committee to change places allocated for pre-election agitation.
There were only two places where it was allowed to meet electors in Masty District. Both of them were in Masty. However, the complaint of four BCD members sent to the CEC may change the situation. The coordinator of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party in Masty District, a deputy of Masty District Council Dzmitry Kuhlei has informed ERB about it.
Kuhlei: "We think that Masty authorities are impeding our agitation. That is why we have sent a complaint to the CEC and asked the committee to solve the problem. It was a tragicomic situation. If candidates for seats in village councils decided to organize a picket or meeting in their support, they would have to invite electors to Masty”.
At the same time, Mr. Kuhlei really doubts that Masty District Executive Committee will react to the appeal of the CEC quickly.
