CIA begins weapons delivery to Syrian rebels - Washington Post
The Washington Post writes on Thursday, referring to several sources in the US and Syria, that CIA has begun delivering weapons to rebels in Syria.
According to Washington Post, the CIA purchased and prepared the weapons for the Syrian rebels. That aid also includes vehicles, sophisticated communications equipment and advanced combat medical kits.
A civil war has been ongoing in Syria since spring 2011. It took the lives of 100 thousand people. The United States plan a military operation against Syria after the latter used the chemical weapons in Damascus suburbs, killing 1400 people. Washington put the blame for this crime on the Syrian government. However, the day before the U.S. President Barack Obama postponed the military operation due to the need to consider Russia's peaceful initiatives. Nevertheless, the U.S. started support of the armed Syrian opposition.
