Day of radio, TV and communication workers marked today
On May 7, 1895 Professor Alexander Popov from St. Petersburg demonstrated the first ever radio-receiver.
In Belarus, the professional holiday of all communication workers was established back in 1998 by the state leader's decree.
Euroradio reminds, the World Radio Day is marked on February 13. It was announced by UNESCO and dedicated to the UN Radio creation in 1946.
Euroradio organized a great gig on the Radio Day in the Minsk club Re:Public yesterday. Krama, Neuro Dubel, Pomidor/OFF, :B:N: and Mutnaje Voka performed for the public.
