EU money for Belarus to fight wild animals' diseases
The European Union approves funding worth of Eur 1. 729 million to fight wildlife diseases in Belarus.
BELTA state news agency reports that officials from Belarusian Ministry of Agricultre and Foodstuffs and Lithuania's National Agency for Foodstuffs and Veterinary Services as well as from Latvia's Agriculture and Veterinary Authority on May 27 met at the French Embassy in Minsk to sign international agreements in the field of wildlife disease control.
The EU is expected to release the funds to Minsk to fight wild animals' diseases already this year. The funding is described as a European Union's grant.
