Gazprom changes suppliers from USA and Germany to Belarus and India
The well-known company has decided to refuse from suppliers based in the countries that imposed sanctions on Russia.
Gazprom has decided to introduce an import substitution programme. Companies based in the countries that imposed or supported Russia sanctions will be replaced.
The board of directors has made the decision. Metalware, automobiles, agricultural and road-building machines will be bought from Russian producers now. The only exception will be made for products that have no analogues in Russia.
410 suppliers from 20 countries ‘have been blacklisted’ by Gazprom. Over a quarter of them are from the USA, Germany, France, Great Britain and Japan. Such companies as Siemens, Motorola, Man Turbo, Kenwood, Kawasaki and others are among them.
Suppliers and producers from the countries that have not supported the sanctions are on ‘the white list’. Belarusian Gidrodinamika, Israeli Ormant, Indian tube producers Corus and Welspum and Argentinean Tinaris are among them. Ukrainian Zora-Machineproject and Ikor are also on this list.
