Lukashenka to conduct large-scale economy meeting today
The president announced his plans to run a comprehensive meeting with the government on economy during his trip to Mahilou region last week.
The government’s report on the sate of economy in 2014 and the main plans for 2015 will be presented at the meeting, BelaPAN reports. ONT also informed that the meeting could be held today.
PM Mihail Myasnikovich, the administration of the Ministries of Economy and Finance and the National Bank met MPs earlier. The budget surplus will be used to paying the foreign debt in 2015, Myasnikovich announced. By the way, Belarus is planning to make $7 billion only on the export of agricultural products in 2015. State employees’ salaries will be increasing faster than the inflation rate, the PM promised.
Head of the National Bank Nadzeya Yermakova spoke about inflation, the dollar exchange rate and the prime rate for 2015 yesterday.
