Lukashenka dissmisses Valyantsin Shayeu from Investigative Committee
On Wednesday, 4 November, Aliaksandr Lukashenka dismissed Valyantsin Shayeu from the position of Chairman of the Investigative Committee. According to BelTA, the decree of the head of state noted that Shayeu was transferred to the reserve "by mutual agreement".
Valyantsin Shayeu is 51. He is a native of Hlubokaye. In 1991 he graduated from the Belarusian State University with a diploma in jurisprudence, served as investigating prosecutor, prosecutor of the Rason and Vitsebsk regions. He worked as department head at the General Prosecutor's office, he then was a prosecutor of the Homiel region. On 1 January 2012, Valyantsin Shayeu became Deputy
Chairman of the Investigative Committee. He became Chairman in November 2012.
