Lukashenka: I am tired of 'lecturing' journalists (photo)
The Belarus president is meeting today in Minsk with the heads of major media houses.
Opening the meeting, Alyaksandr Lukashenka noted: “To tell you the truth, I do not like such small-scale meetings with journalists because they resemble a lecture,” BELTA quotes Lukashenka. “Burning issues could be discussed in such a narrow circle and we could look into the near future if possible.”
The state leader also urged those present to focus on discussing the future instead of speaking about the last year’s results.
The head of the private news agency BelaPAN Ales Lipai, TUT.BY founder and owner Yury Ziser and Pressball editor-in-chief Uladzimir Berazhkou are also in the meeting.
The pre-recorded version of the meeting will be broadcast on the main Belarusian TV channels at 9 p.m.
