Lukashenka: Student could make general plan overnight, you needed 8 months
The Belarusian President is indignant at the red tape in the Chinese-Belarusian Technical Park, he said on February 14.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka is dissatisfied with the absence of clarity in the financing of the project. He is indignant at officials’ passiveness in attracting residents to the technical park.
It took 8 month only to create the general plan of the park, he noted: “A student could do it in one day or even overnight before defending their graduation project.” The officials responsible for it gathered their wits and even said that they had made a wrong plan later, Lukashenka added.
The Belarusian President was also dissatisfied with the fact that the project financing had not even been planned, interfax.by reports.
Lukashenka criticized the work on attracting residents to the technical park: “The MFA sent 1.5 thousand booklets to embassies, reported it and stopped. They are waiting for something now. What are you waiting for?”
A beneficial tax regime was introduced by a special order, the President noted. It allows being competitive in the Customs Union and the EU. A legal basis for the effective realization of the project was also created. “If the hotheads who suggested the creation of the technical park have understood that the country does not need it, pluck up your hearts and say it now,” Lukashenka claimed.
Belarus does not need another free economic zone, he added: “We need super modern production and the products must be in demand in the world market. We need highly efficient workers able to replace 100 people.”
