Lukashenka urges 'our Russia' and 'our friendly Turkey' to reconcile
Aliaksandr Lukashenka has called on Russia and Turkey to make concessions and compromises to smooth out the situation. This statement was made by Head of Belarus at the International Conference "The Policy of Neutrality: International Cooperation for Peace, Security and Development" in Ashgabat.
"We have to overcome all sorts of mongering and find the opportunity to make at least half a step towards each other. And the problem will be solved. The good, close relationship that existed between these peoples and nations will certainly be restored," Belta quoted Lukashenka.
The Belarusian leader said that in this world everything is interconnected. According to him, we must be able to admit our mistakes and find the strength to make concessions and compromises in order to smooth out the situation.
"Mistakes in this turbulent world are inevitable, and they should be solved not escalated. I'm sorry, this also applies to the recent conflict between our Russia and the friendly Turkey," stated Lukashenka.
