Lukashenko: Belarus will not stop delicacy imports
Belarus to continue food imports for domestic market.
The information came from Aliaksandr Lukashenka during the meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich on Monday.
"As far as our domestic market is concerned, we have discussed this issue separately. This is our internal affair. If we need Polish apples - we buy them, but not for Russia, for the domestic market. If we need some German specialties - we also acquire them for domestic consumption," interfax.by reports the words of the Belarusian leader.
Lukashenka also said that, if necessary, the country would continue to buy imported raw materials for the food industry. He stressed: "In this regard we must be honest and, as promised, pursue a decent policy towards Russia."
It should be recalled that last week Russian President Vladimir Putin banned food imports from countries that had imposed sanctions against Russia. This list includes the EU countries, USA, Canada, Australia and Norway.
