Minsker tried to import $250 thousand to Belarus
He was stopped by customs officers for an illegal attempt to import foreign currency.
He hid the money in his car and tried to use the green corridor to enter Belarus on the morning of September 25. However, customs officers decided to search his car and found $250 thousand.
The driver was a Minsker born in 1973. He received the money abroad for selling his house in Belarus, he said.
Half a million dollars has been confiscated and sent to the customs. A check-up is being conducted now, the State Border Committee reports.
