Prices, pensions, living wage increase in Belarus

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection has increased the living wage by 0.1% in Belarus. As of 1 November 2017, it will total BYN197.81 (up from BYN197.57) until January 31, 2018. This is the first increase in 3 years - the measure caused by the climb in the prices for bread, meat, milk and fish, officials explain.
The minimal old-age pensions and social pensions will increase by about 5%. Maternity allowances will also go up.
The money that employers have to put off to pay wages to their employees will also increase to 326.61 roubles per person, BELTA reports.
The prices for some cigarettes will also go up in Belarus on November 1.
