Officials in Belarus should understand corruption is unprofitable - prosecutor
Belarusian officials should understand that corruption is unprofitable, deputy Prosecutor General Alyaksandr Lashyn said on the TV show Contours on ONT. The new law on corruption came into force in Belarus on January 24.
Lashyn: "We wanted to create a corruption prevention system to make economic crimes unprofitable, Officials should understand that taking a bribe will eventually result in a huge loss.”
High salaries cannot help get rid of corruption, the deputy Prosecutor General said. It is necessary to pay more attention to family upbringing and ideology, Alyaksandr Lashyn believes.
