Parting with Valyantsin Byalkevich in Kiev
The legend of Belarusian and Ukrainian football was buried in Baikovoye Cemetery on August 3. His grave is next to actor Bahdan Stupka’s.
Valyantsin Byalkevich was one of the best football players in Belarus. He played in Minsk Dynama and Kiev Dinamo. The player died at the age of 42 in Kiev due to a clot of blood on August 1.
Hundreds of people came to bid farewell to the football player in the Kiev stadium Dinamo. Byalkevich’s relatives and his best friend Alyaksandr Hatskevich, representatives of the Ukrainian and Belarusian football federations, teammates, pupils and fans were among them.
The coffin was carried around the stadium to pay the last tribute to the talented football players and coach and then it was delivered to Baikovoye Cemetery.
Valyantsin Byalkevich is now buried near another talented football player – Valery Labanouski – and famous actor Bahdan Stupka, BelaPAN reports referring to the press service of FC Kiev Dinamo.
