Activists detained in Kurapaty memorial
Dzyanis Urbanovich and Pavel Sevyarynets’ detention
Pavel Sevyarynets and Dzyanis Urbanovich who were protesting against the actions of the police and workers demolishing the crosses in Kurapaty have bene detained.
The crosses installed around Kurapaty are being brought down. The ones installed near Minsk ring road have been left, Euroradio reports. The forest is encircled by the riot police. Nobody is allowed to enter the territory. Utility service workers have also been noticed– they may be doing some work there.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka expressed his discontent with the Kurapaty crosses that could be seen form the road at a press conference on March 1.
