There were four people on board. Nobody has died, rescuers say.
Rescuers received a report about an air accident at 4.46 p.m. The helicopter Robinson had to land near the village of Bahachyn Kobryn District, ECM press secretary Vital Navitski told Euroradio.
Navitski: “There were four people on board the helicopter. Nobody has died. Rescuers are working on the spot to prevent the fuel from taking fire now.”
The reason for the accident has not been found yet.
“It has happened near the M1 highway not far from Kobryn, near the turn heading for Malaryta. It is a yellow helicopter. It is lying on one of its sides. There are a few fire-engines nearby… the spot has been encircled. Many drivers have stopped to see what is going on. I did not see any open fire and the ambulance has already left. I do not know what happened to the pilot. The cockpit hit the ground,” a witness wrote on onliner.by.
