Polish Senate vice chairman denied entrance to Belarus

Belarus border guards have not allowed Krszysztof Putra, the vice chairman of the Polish senate and Romuald Lanczkowski, the deputy chief of the Polish senate's office, to enter the territory of Belarus where they were expected to take part in the Polish Army Day celebrations.
The Belarusian border guards had no problem with Mr Lanczkowski, who eventually had to return to Poland together with the vice chairman. Putra and Lanczkowski represent the leading party Law and Order.

The politicians were expected in Hrodna by 1800 to lay flowers at a local military cemetery where Polish officers and soldiers are burried, reports Radio Svaboda.
