Pope Benedict XVI's monument to be unveiled in Belarus
The monument to Pope Benedict XVI will be blessed and unveiled on June 15 in the village of Luchai, Pastavy district in Belarus. The event is timed with the vist of Pope's State Secretary Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone to Belarus.
A three-meter monument to the Pope was errected near a 18th-century local cathedral. During the unveiling ceremony, Bishop Uladzislau Blin of Vitsebsk Diocese will serve a festive mass to be followed by a concert of Belarusian folklore, reports the official news agency BELTA.
