Belarus, Russia PMs discuss anti-crisis plans
The heads government from Belarus and Russia met ion Moscow to discuss a coordinated response to the economic crisis.
Russia and Belarus are going to coordinate their anti-crisis plans. The statement was made at the February 5 meeting of government heads of the two countries in Moscow, 1tv.ru reports. Kabyakou's visit took place on the eve of the informal meeting between Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Vladimir Putin in Sochi.
"We are very interested in the Russian government's plan of measures, as we are going to put the program of action of Belarus on our parliament's agenda," said Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kabyakou. According to him, it is proposed to have a program of coordinated action to promote economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, interfax.by reports.
Also, the Belarusian Prime Minister proposed measures to remove existing barriers to bilateral movement of goods and services. In particular, they talked about how to make more use of settlements in national currencies between the two countries, as well as how to coordinate the macroeconomic policies. Another innovation that was proposed by the representative of Belarus is to prepare a document that will indicate the EAEC as the place of origin for goods.
