The "state treason" suspect from Navapolatsk has remained behind bars for two months.
"Don't expect wonders, mother. Don't worry. I accepted these rules by default and was prepared to be arrested any moment. Please, forgive me for all the stress I have caused," writes Andrei Haidukouн in his latest letter to his mother Volha.
The registered mail arrived on January 11. Volha Haidukova tells Euroradio that she has had normal correspondence with her son after the New Year. She does recieve letters for Andrei. The only thing that confuses her is that Andrei asks not to write too many letters. Volha Haidukova reckons not all of her letters reach Andrei, hence his request.
Andrei Haidukou, a youth activist from Navapolatsk, was detained by KGB agents in Vitsebsk on November 8, 2012. He is facing charges of spying for a foreign intelligence.
