Charnyauski's book on youth underground struggle to be presented today
It will happen on the 40th day since the author's death. He died at 74 on January 20.
Mikhas Charnyauski - participant of the Belarusian national
movement since the Soviet times, archeologist, historian, civil activist. He
also researched the activity of the youth anti-Bolshevist organization in
Myadzel district in the late 40s. The book "No Fear for Sacrifices and
Sufferings" is dedicated to that organization and its leader Rastsislau Lapitski,
executed in 1950. The presentation of the re-published book will take place on
February 28 at the BPF party office in Minsk (Charnysheuski St., 3), starting
at 6 p.m.
Radio Liberty notes that several hundred people
donated on the book publication.
