German police boss fired for links with Belarusian force structures?
Matthias Seeger and both his deputies have been discharged— this information has been provided by the sources in the governmental circles.
There has been no official confirmation though, informs "Deutche Welle" with a reference to the German media.
Dieter Roman will substitute Seeger at the position of the federal police head.
He heads the anti-terrorist department of the German interior ministry at the
moment.
According to the information provided by the newspaper Der Tagesspiegel, Seeger
will be discharged since August 1. The reason for the personnel changes is
claimed to be some internal conflicts which Seeger failed to solve.
Alongside with that, it has been informed there were conflicts due to his contacts
with the Belarusian force structures. The newspaper does not
clarify which establishments were meant.
