Handicapped man beating suspect: I repented and am going to apologize
The Minsker who beat the handicapped man in the metro is released after 3 days in the pre-trial detention center.
The public prosecutor decided not to detain him and to release him under a non-leave obligation.
Alyaksej has told Euroradio: "I repented of what I
did. I am going to visit this man and apologize to him soon".
Still, he says that he did not change his version of the events. He hasn't seen
the case materials, no one interrogated him for the three days. Meanwhile, his
friends have found two witnesses through the social networks. Two girls who
were on the same carriage in the metro train agreed to come to the police.
Euroradio reminds, a 40-year-old handicapped person was beaten in the metro on
January 2. He asked the youngster to give up his seat to him. The observation
cameras of Minsk metropolitan filmed the suspects in the case. A criminal case
has been started against one of them, a Minsker, born in 1995. He spent several
days in the pre-trial detention center.
