A thousand people took part in the action organized through social networks.
About 1000 Bresters got together at the beach near Viasliarny Channel in the evening. The meeting of the participants of the event "The Night of Flying Lights", organized through social networks, was appointed there. More than a hundred lights made of paper flew into the night sky to the North at 10 p.m. sharp.
"Frankly speaking, I was convinced that there would be no more than 100 people, 30 of them would bring lights. However, according to eye-witnesses' calculations, about 1000 people came to our flash-mob, and about 127 lights were sent to the sky", — one of the action's organizers Aksana shares her impressions.
The organizers were also worried that the law-enforcement authorities would not let them conduct the event which had not been agreed with the city authorities. However, in spite of such considerable number of participants, no police were noticed at the beach.
