Lyavon Volski tries to get NRM back?

Pit Paulau thinks that it is the ex-frontman’s  Machiavellian plan.

The bands “Lyapis Trubetskoi” and “Krambambulya” organized a joint concert in the Moscow club "P!PL" on the New Year’s Eve. However, the party started with the performance of… NRM. Headed by Lyavon Volski.

Lyavon has refuted the information about the fact that NRM performed in a Moscow club in an interview with Euroradio. However, he has admitted that he did sing NRM’s songs. It was a project not connected with “Krambambulya”. He called it “Lyavon Volski’s solo concert”.

Lyavon Volskі: “I read the article – the journalist confused something. It was Lyavon Volski’s performance. A solo concert. I sang NRM’s songs I had written in NRM, - for example, “Three Turtles”.

He has confessed that he has already given a number of concerts with this project without “Krambambulya”. Most of the songs were from NRM’s albums.

Lyavon Volskі: “We have made a great DJ acoustic tour with Aleh, guitarist of “Krambambulya”, Matsei Saburau – DJ and percussionist – and me, acoustic guitar. It was Lyavon Volski’s concert. There were two concerts in Prague, one – in Berlin and we got a full house in Bialystok. We even managed to give a concert in Brest although we had to do it in a Uniate church instead of a café”.

Lyavon has also confessed that he has been thinking about a name for the project. However, NRM is not an option.

Lyavon Volskі: “Who would respect me if I did so?! Maybe we should gather again and make money, shouldn’t we?”

Euroradio: “But there are a number of bands called “Pesnyary” giving concerts on the post-Soviet territory”.

Lyavon Volskі: “Well, there can be a few bands. But it is unlikely to happen. Let it develop. We will give it a name if we invent it. Otherwise, we will continue giving performances without one”.

He says that it is possible to listen to “Three Turtles” and other NRM’s songs both at the concerts of Lyavon Volski’ solo project and the trio NRM.

Pit Paulau, NRM’s frontman and guitarist, does not refute Volski’s right to sing the songs he wrote. However, he thinks that the solo project is the ex-frontman’s Machiavellian plan.

Pit Paulau: “It may reveal his initial “Machiavellian plan” – he left the band to take away something that had been done by four people. He wanted to have it alone. It looks like that. I am against it. I think that my contribution was much bigger than his. It will become evident later”.

NRM’s new album Lyavon Volski has nothing do with will be released soon. However, while the guys are working on new songs, Volski is singing his old songs at concerts.
