Almost all grammar school graduates enter universities in comparison to only two thirds of secondary school graduates.
“MP Anatol Hlaz has suggested closing grammar schools and lyceums", - mass media have informed about the results of the press conference given by MPs Anatol Hlaz and Uladzimir Zdanovich. Hlaz has refuted the information in an interview with Euroradio.
“Do you really think that I could say it!? ”, — Anatol Hlaz is indignant.
Moreover, Euroradio has found out that Anatol Hlaz' granddaughter goes to a grammar school in Mahilyou. How can you close it?
Grammar school graduates have a higher chance of entering university. For example, all the graduates of Minsk grammar school #11 have entered university this year.
At the same time, about two thirds of the graduates of school #70 have managed to enter university.
The Ministry of Education admits the superiority of grammar school graduates:
“Grammar schools and lyceum graduates have the best results at the centralized tests. They usually score 15 or 20 points more than school graduates", - said senior deputy of the Minister of Education Alyaksandr Zhuk commenting on the results of the centralized tests.
