One person accused in Lahoisk blast case

According to his words quoted by BELTA, the tragedy could have been prevented if "Lahoisktransgas" workers reacted to the alert messages from the house dwellers operatively and in due course. One of the "Lahoisktransgas" bosses is accused of neglect of duty. They plan to accuse one more employee.

The blast happened on February 8, 2012 in a residential building in the village of Malinauka, Lahoisk district. One person died, 15 were injured, about 7 apartments were destroyed. The power capacity of the blast was rather high - the windows got broken in the cars which were parked across the street.

Shaeu says that the investigation is almost completed. They think that the blast happened due to inflammation of the gas-air mixture which leaked from the gas supply system of the house. They also assume that the blast detonation might have happened because of a refrigerator.
