Trolleybus depot: We are looking for witnesses
The driver who dragged a passenger out of the trolleybus is experienced – he has worked for 37 years and his photo is on the honours board.
The driver kicked a passenger out of his trolleybus at the bus stop "Printing House". The video is being discussed on the Internet a lot. The administration of his depot admits that he had to call the police in that case and his behaviour will be analyzed. However, they think that the passenger is to blame for the conflict.
"He was drunk. The driver stopped at the red light and he demanded to open the door. The driver explained that he could only do it at a bus stop and continued driving. But the passenger was inadequate, he started swearing and threatening him. He tried to open the door and it could be dangerous for the other passengers. If he had opened the door, the trolleybus would have halted and people could be injured."
According to Trolleybus Depot #5, the driver demanded that the passenger got off at the bus stop but he refused and "kept threatening him and knocking on the window".
"The driver's actions will be analyzed, an internal investigation is being conducted. We are looking for witnesses."
Then a decision about his punishment or warning will be taken.
The driver has worked in the depot for 37 years, his photo can be found on the honours board. His colleagues could not believe that somebody could get a rise out of him. They mentioned another interesting detail:
"The driver wanted to hit him but stopped. Then he hit him with his palm because the man spat at his face. It cannot be seen in the video."
Drivers have the right to make passengers get off is they violate the rules, the depot administration explained.
"...the passenger violated the rules – he was drunk and tried to open the door. The driver had the right to make him get off."
But when the infringer refused to get off, the driver had to call the police...
It is the sixth notorious incident in the public transport this year.
