Reports: Journalist Alyaksei Zhukau detained by Investigation Committee
The Investigation Committee has detained one more journalist today, on August 8. Alyaksei Zhukau and his wife Aryna Syomychkina were detained at their house in Baraulyany, reform.by reports.
No other details are known at the moment.
The Investigation Committee has also searched the apartment belonging to media expert Paulyuk Bykouski this morning. Unauthorized access to BelTA’s paid news feed was registered from his IP address, the police said.
Alyaksei Zhukau was a guest at Euroradio on August 6 and Paulyuk Bykouski – on August 7.
The offices of TUT.by and BelaPAN were searched on August 7. A criminal case for unauthorized access to the paid news feed of the state information agency BelTA is being investigated, the Investigation Committee reported. A number of journalists are in jail.
