Russia wants to reduce grey supplies from Belarus
Russian Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev says Russia is set to continue blocking the smuggling of European foodstuffs via Belarus.
Russia cannot block the supplies of banned European goods from Belarus completely. However, it is hoping to decrease them by a lot, Russian Minister for Economic Development Alexei Ulukayev said.
"It would be difficult to block them but we could decrease the supplies by a lot. We hope to reduce the supplies of grey market goods,” TASS quotes the Russian official.
The decrease of the supplies from Belarus to Russia depends on coordinated actions of both states’ customs officers. The cooperation has been activated recently.
The turnout between the two states has not changed much, the Russian Minister added. He also mentioned the increase of Russian supplies to Belarus and the growth of Belarusian supplies in the Russian import.
