Russian surgeon steals heroin from patient during surgery
A surgeon has been arrested in the Krasnoyarsk Territory of Russia on suspicion of having stolen heroin from a drug courier under operation.
According to RBC, the surgeon made a surgery to a man who had transported heroin in his stomach. He passed the discovered drugs to the police. However, it turned out later that part of the heroin had disappeared.
The police returned to the doctor and saw him in the condition of drugs intoxication. They also found 5 g of heroin his clothes.
The investigators started two criminal cases at a time - for illegal purchasing and storage of narcotic drugs at a large scale and for stealing narcotic drugs at a large scale. If convicted, the surgeon may face up to 15 years of imprisonment.
