Sabalenka wins first match at Australian Open

Aryna Sabalenka has won her first match at this year’s Australian Open. The Belarusian has defeated Russian Anna Kalinskaya in two sets — 6:1, 6:4. The match took a bit more than an hour.

Sabalenka will compete with either Katie Boulter of Great Britain or Yekaterina Makarova of Russia in the round of 32.

Bookmakers have placed Aryna Sabalenka in the top-5 of the Australian Open favourites.
