Yermakova speaks about dollar rate, refinancing
The National Bank of Belarus chairwoman Nadzeya Yermakova says that inflation forecast for 2015 is set at 12%.
There are no plans to reduce the refinancing rate in our country until the end of the year. The announcement came on Monday from the chairwoman of the National Bank of Belarus Nadeya Yermakova. According to her, there is no need to do so following Russia.
"As you can see, every day something is happening in Russia, so we need to quietly make up our mind," BELTA quotes Yermakova.
As for 2015, the refinancing rate may reach 16-17%. Today it is 20%.
The refinancing rate has direct influence on the value of interest rates on loans that commercial banks provide to physical and legal persons.
Nadezhda Yermakova also stated that the average annual exchange rate of the Belarusian ruble against the US dollar in the next year will be 11,3-11,4 thousand rubles per dollar. Inflation in 2015 is forecast at 12%, reports Interfax-Zapad.
