American author Kathleen Kent has written a crime novel, "Black Wolf". It is a story about a CIA spy. The action takes place in Minsk in 1990, belmir.by writes. The book will be released on February 14.
In the story, undercover CIA agent Melvina Donleavy arrives in Minsk in 1990. She must stop the flow of nuclear weapons from the crumbling Soviet Union into the Middle East.
Suddenly, women start disappearing from the streets of Minsk. It turns out that a maniac, nicknamed the Svislach Strangler, is operating in the city.
Donleavy falls under the radar of the KGB head nicknamed "The Black Wolf".
Kathleen Kent says that while writing the detective story, she drew on her memories of working in Belarus and Kazakhstan in the early 1990s. At the time, she was a civilian contractor for the U.S. Department of Defense.
