Bulldozer blown up by shell near Vitsebsk (photo)
A Shantui SD-16 was conducting excavation works twelve meters away from the railroad (Luches stage) when explosion occurred.
The incident occurred at about noon on Friday, August 9, near the village of Zabalotsinka. The Ministry for Emergencies' press office has only reported it today.
It probably was a WWII shell.
Fortunately, nobody was injured but the bulldozer was damaged. The train schedule was not changed.
A team of field engineers went to the site to carry out further checks and remove mines if necessary, Ministry for Emergencies' press office reports.
