Former governor of Hrodna learned about his 'assassination plot' from investigators

Former Hrodna governor Uladzimir Sauchanka made this statement today during the interrogation at the Supreme Court over the case of Mikalai Autukhovich and Uladzimir Asipenka, the entrepreneurs from Vaukavysk. The Belapan news agency reports, quoting Vyachaslau Siuchyk, that Sauchank's statement does not bach charges against Autukhovich who is accused of plotting to murder Sauchanka. The statement also refute the testimony of Aliaksandr Laryn who was allgedly hired by Autukhovich to kill Sauchanka.

Autukhovich and Asipenka are charged with having plotted a terror attack. Police Col, Mikhail Kazlou is charged with knowing about the plot but not acting to prevent it.
