Hungry squirrel bites students in Hrodna

A students' couple became the victims of a biting squirrel. When the students were walking round the city park named after Rumliou, a squirrel unexpectedly jumped onto a 19-year-old girl's shoulder and tried to bite her. A guy threw the squirrel on the ground, but it jumped back and bit his hand, and also scratched the girl's arm,  BELTA reports. It turned out this was not the first case when squirrels attacked people in parks. About 10 Hrodna inhabitants addressed to traumatology centers with squirrel bites in the beginning of Autumn. The casualties undergo an anti-hydrophobia prophylactic treatment. The doctors think these squirrels are most likely to be healthy and not to suffer from hydrophobia.

Probably, it is one and the same animal which used to live at some person's house and was abandoned by her owner. The animal is not adapted to independent life and cannot ask for food "in a diplomatic way".
