Mobile communication costs rise
Mobile service providers in several regions of Belarus on Thursday faced higher duties for the communication services.
In Minsk and the Mahiljou region, the duties rose twofold from 5 up to 10 percent. In Homel region, the duties went 3 percent up. However, the Brest, Hrodna, Vicebsk and Minsk regions have not yet been affected by the costs increase.
According to the statements by cellular operators, the rise in duties will not affect the call costs for their customers. However, the costs of the handsets will increase from 5 to 15 percent in Minsk and the Minsk region.
