Rector of Vitsebsk State University dies in car accident
The rector's car turned upside down in the morning on October 14. Salodkau and his driver died.
Alyaksandr Salodkau was 53. He was born in Vitsebsk, was a doctor of medical sciences. Since April 2009 he was a rector in Vitsebsk State University named after Masherau. last year he was considered man of the year in Vitsebsk region, Nasha Niva informs.
On April 25, 2010 Salodkau was elected as a member of Vitsebsk city deputy council. In September 2012 he became a member of the Council of Republic of the National Assembly. He worked in the permanent commission on education, science, culture and social development.
