Almost all Horki protesters arrested
Trials against participants of the picket in support of Zmitser Dashkevich took place in Drybin and Horki on August 3.
Nasta Palazhanka, the "Young Front" leader's fiancee, was sentenced to 12 days of detentions. Other sentences were also brutal - Mikalaj Dzemidzenka got the whole 17 days of detention. Yauhen Skrabets, Julia Mikhailava, Maxim Siamionau and Viachaslau Barysau will spend 10 days in prison. Independent journalist Tatsiana Shaputska was detained for 10 days also. Hanna Sharuba got 13 days, Aliaksej Sianchyla - 7, Raman Panzhyn - 5, reports BelaPAN. Aliaksandr Velichenka was lucky to be fined for 1 million 50 thousand roubles.
Previously, it was informed that the trials would start only on August 4 in Horki, but they were facilitated due to some reason. They started at 18.00, in the end of working day.
Ivan Shyla and Zmitser Shurkhai demanded to provide them lawyers. Their trial was postponed till August 8, and they were released. Raman Vasilieu's trial was also postponed till August 9 as he also demanded a lawyer.
All the detainees were accused of illegal picketing and disobedience to the police.
